Genealogy is an essential part of our club’s activities in the historical field. Any research requires a meticulous examination of the individuals involved at that time. The church records available online for several years now typically provide a solid foundation, which can usually be supplemented by other sources to create a coherent picture. Furthermore, it is often possible to trace distant relatives who can contribute to gaining insights into a particular topic.

Anyone interested in history is likely to come to the conclusion that, although there are many publications, much remains unaddressed, especially in regional or local history. Our association aims to contribute more significantly to the history of Carinthia in this area and to close gaps. With the right amount of research effort and a bit of luck, it is often possible to reconstruct a profound narrative about a local historical event based on a few vague traditions.

Of course, this field also includes the creation of chronicles, whether for communities, clubs, or businesses.
